This is a rubbing of the headstone found in the Linton cemetery across the street from the monastery.

This is the home of the religious order that received land from Sister Mary Bapsista (Sarah Elliott Linton) so that the land at Lintonsford would not be sold for farming.

headstone reads "sacred to the memory of John Augustine Elliott Linton Original proprietor of Lintonsford. Born Jan 5, 1769. Died Dec 2, 1822.

After the death of John Tyler Linton, Cecilia was encouraged to quickly remarry. She married R.H. Philips thus becoming Cecilia Anne Graham Philips. They had one daughter, Anne Cecilia Philips, before she was widowed for the second time.
