Description
The Battle of Dranesville took place on December 20th, 1861 in the vicinity of Dranesville, VA (now the greater Great Falls region) between Union Brigadier General Edward Ord and Confederate Brigadier General J.E.B. Stuart. This map in particular shows the house of Dr. William B. Day, as well as Coleman's store, both of which are mentioned in the trial records regarding Dr. Day and Charles Coleman. This map was drawn by Robert Knox Sneden and appears in his diary entries following the Civil War.
