The result of the court case concerning the condemnation of the land of (among others) Theodore Hicks, resulting in the movement of William H. Hicks' gravestone from the Hicks Cemetery in Herndon to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon. Theodore Hicks was awarded $5,672.64 for his land; the entire legal aspect of that part of the condemnation cost the county $33,400.36 (accounting for legal fees and compensation of the other landowners whose land was condemned).
