Herndon Train Station
Dublin Core
Title
Herndon Train Station
Description
This is an image of local dairy farmers at the Herndon rail station exchanging full milk cans for empties. The completion of the railroad by 1857 increased the mobility of Herndon residents and increased the marketability of produce to areas outside of the Herndon area. One can imagine farmers like Joshua Hutchison doing this very thing during his life on his farm. The rail road has been converted into the W & OD Trail.
