Octavia Oliver Swink was the second owner of the Oliver/Thompson Family Cemetery land once it was given to her by her father, James Oliver. In 1916, Octavia went to the court to complain about a new road that was to be built, by the order of some of her extended family members, leading up to the cemetery, claiming that the current road was sufficient. This document shows the original road and the proposed new road. However, at the end of the trial, the court decided that both ideas be abandoned and an entirely new road to the cemetery be built.
