Linton Family Cemetery

This cemetery is located off of Linton Hall Road in a section of the Braemar neighborhood. John Augustine Elliott Linton was the original proprietor of the Lintonsford Plantation which included over 1,000 acres of the surrounding land. this land was slowly auctioned off as farms until Sarah Elliott Linton gave the land to the Benedictine sisters to build a school for poor children. The St. Benedict's Monastery still remains on the land given to them by the Lintons as well as Linton Hall Catholic School.
