Description

This map shows the major forces and movements of both Confederate and Union soldiers at the Battle of Balls Bluff near Leesburg. Ball's Bluff was fought on the Virginia side of the Potomac River on October 21st, 1861. Though not a major victory in the grand scheme of the Civil War, it was a decisive victory for the Confederate Army in Virginia at the beginning of the war.
