Description
This is a hand drawn map of the Compton Family Cemetery. The Cemetery is enclosed by a wrought iron fence and is roughly 30 x 30. To the left is a line of trees, and on the other side of the trees is the house in which the Comptons resided. In front of the cemetery is Henderson Road.
In the back left are Felix and Eloise Compton, the patriarch and matriarch of the family.
To their right is son George, daughter Mittie, and son Harry Compton. All three died at a young age between the years of 1892-1898.
To the right of the three siblings are the two infant sons of Rebecca Compton and her husband Joseph Brown.
In front of them, there is a separate enclosure. In this enclosure is Eppa Compton, son of Felix and Eloise, and his daughter Edith, who died at a young age.
In front of this enclosure is Leroy Compton, who died at a young age. He is the son of Perry F. Compton, grandson of Felix and Eloise Compton.
To the right of Leroy Compton is Perry Lee Compton Jr. He is the grandson of Perry F. Compton and great-grandson of Felix and Eloise Compton. He is the most recent burial (1991).
