This record provides a summary of Dr. William B. Day's life during the Civil War. Dr. Day was a Confederate General and surgeon during the war. He served in both General Stone's 16th Virginia Infantry and General Cobb's Georgia Legion. Dr. Day also served as a surgeon for the confederacy at Winchester Hospital, Camp Winder Hospital. This record for Dr. Day also mentions that he was charged with murdering Union pickets and that he displayed their heads on his gatepost.
