The Alexandria Gazette published weeks worth of articles on the attack on the Ridgeway Home. Even though it had already published it's paper for the day the Gazette made a special run the night of the attack .

The paper even covers the funeral of Loretta whose body was visited by over 4,000 people prior to her burial.

Kathleen dies a week after her sister. The paper never spells her name right through out the whole ordeal. Instead they print her name as Cathrine.

Tensions go so bad that the attorney's for Boersig where threatened with their lives if they represented him.

Beorsig was convicted on two counts of murder, one count of assault and one count of robbery. Their were hundreds of people surrounding the court house to hear the verdict.

Three months after he was convicted and fours months after the attack Louis Boersig was executed via the electric chair on July 7, 1927.
